Goshen High School senior Michael Pagliocca recently received the rank of Eagle Scout.
Michael constructed a chicken run for Museum Village in Monroe as his Eagle project. Its purpose was to allow chickens to graze in a safe, secure environment that is visible to museum patrons. The chicken run is a 10×12 foot wooden box wrapped in chicken wire. It is attached to a barn on the Museum Village Property, and includes a custom-made door that allows people to go in and out.
With the help of friends and fellow Scouts, the project took two days of labor to complete.
Eagle Scout is the highest rank attainable in the Scouts BSA program of Scouting America. Since its inception in 1911, only four percent of Scouts have earned this rank after a lengthy review process.
