March 25, 2026 – On Tuesday morning, a water main break occurred near the Main Street building, resulting in approximately two inches of water in portions of the building, including the Business Office area and nearby offices. The Boardroom was also affected to a lesser extent.
While the majority of the water has been removed, the district is now coordinating with a professional company to ensure a thorough cleanup.
Due to lingering moisture and wet flooring, the building will remain closed as restoration efforts continue.
Main Street staff are currently working from different building within the district and Orange-Ulster BOCES student programming has been adjusted as needed. The district is assessing next steps, including the possibility of temporarily relocating staff.
