The goal of the library media center is to provide students with opportunities to be successful lifelong learners. We strive to give students the tools and experience they will need to become true 21st century citizens who are able to evaluate relevant information, solve problems and communicate effectively. Our students are encouraged to be ethical users of both print and non-print media in various ways in a cooperative and collaborative environment.
Students may use the library before homeroom, during scheduled classes, during study halls (pass required), after school (sign up required) or when sent by a teacher (pass required).
Checking out books
Students may check out up to five items. The loan period is for three weeks (renewals are permitted). Lost and/or damaged items must be paid for or replaced. Overdue fines are not charged.
Interlibrary Loans
Interlibrary Loan services are available in case the high school library does not carry a particular book. Students may request specific titles from other schools within the Orange-Ulster BOCES School Library System. Students may also request that holds be placed on wanted titles.
