C.J. Hooker has taken the time to recognize their Students of the Month. These students illustrate the following characteristics that the school community looks for:

• Responsible – The student embraces the responsibility required to maintain progress in their schoolwork and other personal goals.
• Positive – The student contributes to the success of the school by promoting a positive school climate through their actions and words.
• Honest – The student communicates truthfully and in a respectful way with classmates, teachers, staff and refrains from dishonesty in completing academic work.
• Committed to success – The student strives for success in all they do and works to the best of their ability.

Grade 6

• Liliana Pirri is a standout member of the 6th Grade Yellow Team. She always puts in her best effort, approaches every task with focus, and shows maturity beyond her years. Liliana is kind, respectful, and leads by example, making her a true role model in and out of the classroom. Her positive attitude and strong work ethic make her a wonderful choice for Student of the Month!

• Aiden Brockmann is the Purple Team’s choice for Student of the Month. He exemplifies what it means to be hardworking and determined and is never afraid to take on a challenge. Aiden consistently puts forth his best effort in all that he does, approaching every subject with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. He is an active participant in his classes, always ready to share his ideas and support his classmates. His perseverance and dedication to his schoolwork make him a wonderful role model for others. Congratulations, Aiden!

• Gianna Kaur – It is with great pleasure that the Maroon Team nominates Gianna Kaur for Student of the Month. She consistently demonstrates exceptional kindness, compassion, and a willingness to help others in and out of the classroom. Whether it’s offering a helping hand to a classmate in need or showing patience and understanding during group activities, Gia stands out as a positive role model. She embodies the values of our school community and sets a wonderful example for others. For these reasons and many more, we wholeheartedly nominate Gia for this well-deserved recognition of Student of the Month. Keep up the great work!

Special Areas:

Remi Pedrosa is an outstanding student that consistently brings passion, dedication, and talent to each class. In chorus, Remi brings a beautiful voice to every performance. Her hard work inspires those around her. Remi is responsible with her work, attentive to her teachers, and brings a positive attitude to her classmates. Congratulations to Remi!

Grade 7

• Audrey Mosquera is a kind and considerate young lady. Her peers and teachers can’t help but notice and appreciate her supportive nature, as she is always willing to lend a helping hand. In class, Audrey is observant, follows along with the lesson and often volunteers to participate. She is noticeably polite and hard-working, which stands out to her teachers. All of these qualities are what makes Audrey a perfect choice for April’s Student of the Month! Congratulations, Audrey! Keep up the good work.

• Anthony Leonard is a curious, conscientious, and compassionate student. His inquisitive and responsible nature make him a pleasure to teach. Anthony is extremely diligent and takes pride in the quality of his schoolwork. His kindness and acceptance of others is evident in the interactions he has with both peers and adults in our school community. The maturity and sense of self Anthony displays are truly admirable. Congratulations on being recognized as our Student of the Month!

• Cody Winship is a kind and respectful student who, no matter the challenge, tries his very best. Cody is a hard worker who excels in hands-on activities and collaborative learning. Cody has a great sense of humor and is a good friend to all who know him.

Special Areas:

Gabriel Byers is an outstanding student and our choice for student of the month. Gabe recently participated in the OCMEA Junior High All-County Band! He was one of two 7th Grade Band students to successfully audition for the Grades 7 – 9 ensemble this year. Gabe is a very respectful and considerate student – a great role model for others around him. He deserves recognition for his commitment to his work as he currently plays flute in Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Lab Band. Congratulations!

Grade 8

• Benjamin Heater is an intelligent, polite and respectful young man. He is creative, uses a very engaging writing voice and style and is artistic. He is an insightful, attentive and diligent student who is self-motivated and works consistently to achieve his best. He is engaged in class discussions and offers valuable and interesting ideas. Benjamin demonstrates a high level of maturity, quietly modeling exemplary behavior and work habits. He is a quiet leader who leads by example.

• Jianni Shoop is hardworking, patient, honest, polite, and caring. He arrives in class with a positive attitude and is dedicated to academic success. Jianni participates in class discussions, collaborates with classmates, and shows acceptance of his peers. His commitment, along with the respect he displays for others, deserves recognition. Congratulations to Jianni!

Special Areas:

Lucy Davila is a talented student who embodies the attributes of Student of the Month. As an honor student, outstanding musician, and talented artist, she shines brightly in the classroom, on the stage, and in the studio.
