Welcome back to G.H.S. for the 2025-26 school year, Goshen Gladiators!


Dear Gladiator Community:

Welcome back, Gladiator Community! We are all excited for the start of the 2025–2026 school year. Over the summer, our team has been busy getting everything ready so that students walk into a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment. Our teachers and staff are dedicated to helping every student learn, grow, and succeed, and we can’t wait to see their energy and enthusiasm fill the halls again soon.

While summer is a time for fun and leisure, it is also a time for continued learning and personal development. Reading books, attending workshops, or pursuing a passion project are excellent ways to stay mentally active during the break.

As we gear up for the upcoming academic year, I want to remind everyone that classes will commence promptly at 7:27 am on Wednesday, September 3. Our daily schedule will consist of nine periods, with dismissal scheduled for 2:17 pm. Returning seniors, juniors, and sophomores will retain their lockers from the previous year. Incoming freshmen will be assigned lockers in the “A” wing in the upstairs front of the building in the Math hallway.

As a reminder, beginning this fall, a “Bell to Bell” cell phone ban will be in place. The Goshen Central School District adopted a policy that is in compliance with state mandates that students may not use their internet-enabled device during the school day. Specifically, this includes “all classes, homeroom periods, lunch, recess, study halls, and passing time” on school grounds. At the high school, students’ devices must be silenced and stored in a locker as soon as the student arrives at school. Students can find their locker number and combination on their schedules within the Parent Portal under the “personal information” section. Please refer to the District website, www.gcsny.org for additional information.

We are excited to welcome our incoming 9th graders and new students and parents at the annual Freshman/New Student BBQ, scheduled for Thursday, August 28, at 6:00 pm at the high school. This event will provide an excellent opportunity to familiarize students and parents with our facilities, administration, faculty, and staff.

Starting Friday, August 22, 2025, at 3:00 pm, student schedules will be accessible through the Parent Portal. Additionally, the Parent Portal will serve as the platform for reviewing grades at the end of each marking period. Please remember to periodically check the District’s website, gcsny.org, for essential dates, updates, and other information and events.

As we embark on the final leg of summer, I extend my warmest wishes to all families for a memorable and enjoyable time.
