Two Goshen High School Students win awards from America250

Goshen High School’s Hannah Barhorst and  Sabine Sanchezcastellanos were both named as award winners by America250, an organization that has been charged by the Congress to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States.

Hannah Barhorst was named as the only first place winner in the high school category from New York State! As part of her award, Hannah will travel to Cleveland in July for a backstage tour of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

A boat of people is approaching the Statue of Liberty in the water. The city around the statue is dark and ominous and the sky is red. The sky is blue and the sun is bright above the Statue of Liberty. There is another boat to the right with more people on it.

A line of people are waiting to walk up to Uncle Sam who is under a sign that says Welcome to America. Uncle Sam is holding measuring tape and is preparing to measure a person dressed exactly like Uncle Sam but their clothes are too small.
