Photos from the Mock Crash Simulation at Goshen High School

On Thursday, June 5, Goshen High School students went to the bleachers in the gravel parking lot above the district bus garage to see a simulation of a car crash. This event is part of an educational effort on behalf of the district to show students the dangers or impaired driving and the consequences of these actions ahead of Goshen High School’s prom.

The presentation included student actors performing a skit that shows the decisions leading to driving while impaired. Following the skit, students went outside to the mock crash simulation.

The skit performed by students was intended to represent a real-life scenario that leads to the consequences of the crash simulation.

From the initial police officers arriving on scene to the ambulances driving away with injured victims, the simulation walked students through the order of events that take place when emergency responders arrive at the scene of an accident.

Thank you to all of the emergency personnel in Goshen that made this event possible and for being a part of the district’s educational efforts.
