Goshen wins 2nd place at Odyssey of the Mind NYS Finals, headed to Iowa for World Finals


Goshen’s Odyssey of the Mind teams competed at the New York State Finals at Syracuse University this past weekend, emerging with second, third and fourth place rankings.

The Goshen Intermediate School Losee Team won second place at the Odyssey of the Mind NYS Finals in April. They will be advancing to the World Finals in Iowa.

Second Place

The Losee Team (GIS) won second place for Problem 2, and will be advancing to the World Finals in Iowa!

The Kloorfain Team (GIS) won third place at the Odyssey of the Mind NYS Finals in April.

Third Place

The Kloorfain Team (GIS) won third place for Problem 5.

Other Placements

The C.J. Hooker Middle School Losee Team won fourth place for Problem 1. The Goshen High School team had a tough hands-on spontaneous problem and did not place this year.

“Their long-term performance was amazing,” said GHS English Teacher Beth Laskoski. “Our Odyssey teams have a lot to be proud of!”
