Goshen prepares for the Special Olympics

In the lead up to the ninth annual Elementary Special Olympics being hosted this year at Goshen High School on May 17, the preparation for the athletes and communities visiting Goshen has been a districtwide effort.

The olympic torch being passed in the promotional video on our district YouTube page showcasing the athletes coming to compete on May 17 was one of the first items created by the Goshen community. Thanks to the work of Mr. Johnson and Goshen student Kiran Foster, our torch was 3D printed to be used in the video.

The work of the students in Goshen’s Kindness Club to make t-shirts for the games has been a tremendous help to the district’s preparation for the games. Not only did students make the shirts, but the Kindness Club’s popup shop will also be contributing proceeds to the Special Olympics.

Mark your calendars! The ninth annual Elementary Special Olympics are coming to Goshen High School Saturday, May 17. This is the first time the Elementary Special Olympics are coming to Goshen! Thank you to our students and staff for your continued efforts in the preparation for this incredible event, we could not do it without you!
