#FacultyFriday: Valerie Natt

This week’s spotlight is on Valerie Natt, a third grade teacher at Goshen Intermediate School who has been with the district for almost 11 years.

Natt joined the Goshen Central School District in 2013 during her field work assignments in college, and said she has been lucky to work at C.J. Hooker Middle School, Goshen High School and the intermediate school over the years.

“I love the tight-knit community feel here,” she said. “I’ve loved the opportunity to experience different grade levels, but I am happy to have found my niche in third grade.”

Each year, Natt said her goal is to learn as much as she can from the classes she works with, as well as to help her students and colleagues work together to grow in every way.

Outside work, Natt loves everything Disney.

“I can always count on Disney movies, music, and of course Disney World, to make me feel so good,” she said.

She also loves musical theater and tries to go to as many Broadway shows as she can-something she has brought to work with her to share with GIS students.

“Bringing the theater experience to so many kids, many for the first time, in our GIS Drama Club is something that I am immensely proud of,” said Natt.

Thank you so much, Valerie Natt, for all you do! We appreciate you!
