Grade 6
- The 6th Grade Yellow Team is excited to announce Amelia Thampi as our Student of the Month! Amelia is an absolute rockstar who consistently puts 100% effort into every assignment. It is clear that she studies and prepares thoroughly, showing a true dedication to her education. As a motivated and enthusiastic learner, Amelia frequently jumps into class discussions and never hesitates to ask thoughtful questions. We are so proud of her hard work and positive attitude, way to go, Amelia!
- Hannah Redeker consistently demonstrates what it means to be a motivated learner and a positive role model. Her strong work ethic is evident in everything she does, as she approaches all classroom activities with focus, determination, and a genuine desire to do her best. She stands out as an active participant in class discussions, contributing meaningful ideas while also respectfully listening to others. Hannah is also well known for her kindness and willingness to support her classmates. She routinely offers encouragement, helping to create a positive and inclusive environment for everyone. Hannah is truly deserving of this recognition as our Student of the Month. Congratulations!
- We are proud to recognize Harper Steinberg as our Student of the Month! Harper consistently shows kindness and a willingness to help others in our classroom. She is thoughtful, respectful, and always ready to lend a hand to classmates who need support. Her positive attitude and caring nature help create a welcoming and supportive learning environment for everyone. Harper’s helpful spirit and kindness do not go unnoticed, and we are very proud of the example she sets for others. Congratulations, Harper!
- Alexa Alvarez has exemplified citizenship in our school community. She works well with others and is a great role model. She currently is assisting a new student in school routines and expectations. She is always up to the task at hand and a great asset to the class. Additionally, Alexa is hardworking and strives to her fullest potential. She often remains after school to prepare for exams or projects. My recommendation was inclusive of all these qualities that promote not only academic responsibility but positivity in her interactions with others.
Special Areas: Makenzie Miele is an outgoing student who does not hesitate to lend a helping hand to others. She goes out of her way to share her knowledge and assist classmates. She is motivated and enthusiastic in all that she does—giving her all every time. Makenzie usually has a smile on her face and a kind word for her classmates. She embodies the values we celebrate and inspires those around her to do their best.
Grade 7
- Andrew Pennings has been arriving to class on-time, with his materials and shown a strong sense of responsibility in many ways. Andrew follows directions as he follows along with the lesson, actively takes notes and participates in the class discussion and lesson. He also asks good questions, which shows he is paying attention. Andrew is polite to his peers and teachers and has a good sense of humor, which adds to our positive classroom environments. Andrew is doing a great job this marking period three. Congratulations, Andrew, and keep up the good work!
- Molly Keller exemplifies an ideal student and classmate. She is polite, caring, and hard-working. She tries her best each and every day, always advocates for herself, and takes advantage of any help that is offered. When working with her fellow students, Molly is kind and considerate. We also love how well rounded she is and are impressed by her ability to handle school and her extracurricular activities. Congratulations and keep up the good work, Molly!
- Josiah Medders is such a kind, hardworking, and creative student whose love of reading is truly inspiring to everyone around him. When faced with a challenge, Josiah doesn’t give up. His teachers are very proud of him!

Austin Harris is a kind, engaged, and enthusiastic student. He is a percussionist who currently plays in Symphonic Band and Lab Band. Austin is eager to take on new challenges, and he always does it with a contagiously positive attitude. He is always there to offer help and lend a hand. He sets a great example for others to follow. Congratulations to Austin!
Grade 8
- Mark Andreotti is an attentive, conscientious and diligent student. He is an intelligent, determined, curious, kind and considerate young man. He is always polite, friendly and composed and demonstrates a quiet confidence that allows him to lead by example. Mark is supportive of others, respectful and relates well to adults as well as his peers. He has a good sense of humor and expresses himself well verbally and through his writing. Mark is curious, self motivated and a terrific addition to all of his classes.
- MacKinnon Smykla comes to class prepared and ready to learn. She is diligent and committed to academic excellence. She consistently demonstrates kindness and respect towards others while maintaining a cooperative and positive attitude. MacKinnon’s exemplary behavior and willingness to help others make our classrooms a better place for everyone. Congratulations, MacKinnon!
- Nathan Rose has a smile that brightens up any classroom. Nathan has faced some academic challenges this year, but he has put forth some amazing effort and has been turning things around. He is such a respectful, polite and endearing, young man, who works wonderfully with students and teachers alike. He puts his whole heart into this work and wants to succeed.
Special Areas:
Scarlett Zambetti is a dedicated and passionate student. She not only excels in the classroom, but during OVA club as well (and OM according to her peers. Her tenacity and determination to be her best shows. She integrates new information extremely well. Scarlett also provides comedic relief to those who know her best. Her kindness and respect expands beyond the classroom. We hope she continues to grow in her creativity and imagination. We look forward to seeing more amazing work from her in the future!
