Board of Education adopts proposed 2025-26 budget

On April 25, the Board of Education adopted a proposed $96,824,965 budget for the 2025-2026 school year. If approved, the proposed budget would result in a tax levy increase of 2.8%, which is equal to the district’s legal tax levy “cap”, meaning a simple majority of voters (50% + 1) is required to pass the budget. The proposed budget will increase spending by $4,969,904, or 5.41%.

The annual budget vote will take place  on Tuesday, May 20 from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the Main Street Administrative building located at 227 Main Street in Goshen.

Voters will also elect two members to the Board of Education to three-year terms, beginning on

July 1, 2025 and expiring on June 30, 2028. Both incumbents, current board president Tom Loftus and vice president Brett Weeden, are running for reelection. There are no other candidates.
A detailed newsletter about  the proposed 2025-26 school year budget will be mailed to district residents in early May. For more information on the budget, visit the district’s budget and finance page.
