C. J. Hooker’s Cora Massaro competes in the preliminary round of the Scripps National Spelling Bee!

After winning the Orange-Ulster Spelling Bee in March, Cora Massaro moved on to compete in the preliminary rounds of the 97th Scripps National Spelling Bee yesterday, May 27.

In the first round, Cora successfully spelled “moraine.” In the second preliminary round, Cora correctly stated that a solstice occurs twice a year. To keep up with the results, go to https://spellingbee.com/round-results or visit https://spellingbee.com/watch for information on how to watch.

We are so proud of you, Cora! See some photos from Cora’s experience so far here!
