GHS: Important Graduation Information

As we prepare to celebrate the Goshen High School Class of 2026, we are sharing important information to ensure a safe and memorable graduation experience.

Graduation will take place rain or shine on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 6:00 PM. An outdoor and indoor setup will be prepared, and a final decision on location will be made by 2:00 PM and shared via ParentSquare. Families should plan for both options until then.

Graduation Rehearsal

All seniors must attend graduation rehearsal on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 10:00 AM in the New Gymnasium. Attendance is required to participate in the ceremony.

Arrival Times

Graduates should report to Goshen High School at 4:00 PM. Guests may also begin entering at 4:00 PM.

  • Outdoor ceremony: Stadium opens at 4:30 PM
  • Indoor ceremony: Gymnasium and auditorium open at 4:30 PM

Please allow extra time for parking, security, and seating due to high attendance.

Parking

Guests are encouraged to arrive early to allow sufficient time for parking and transportation.

Parking will be available in designated lots on the Goshen High School campus. Event staff will be available to assist with traffic flow and direct guests to available parking areas.

Overflow parking will be available at Scotchtown Avenue Elementary School (SAS). Shuttle service will be provided between SAS and Goshen High School before and after the ceremony to assist guests with transportation.

Guests utilizing the shuttle service are encouraged to arrive early to allow adequate time for transportation and seating prior to the start of the ceremony.

Live Stream Viewing

A live-stream link will be available to view the graduation ceremony virtually: https://totalwebcasting.com/view/?func=VOFF&id=goshen&date=2026-06-26&seq=1

For the convenience of our families and guests, the High School Auditorium will be open during both outdoor and indoor graduation ceremonies.

If the ceremony is held outdoors, guests may choose to view the ceremony from the climate-controlled auditorium via live stream.

If the ceremony is moved indoors, the auditorium will serve as the designated live-stream viewing location for guests holding blue tickets.

Due to the forecast for potential inclement weather and the possibility of moving the ceremony indoors, the district is holding all available extra tickets until a final weather determination is made.

No extra tickets will be provided if the ceremony is moved indoors.

If an outdoor ceremony is confirmed, families who previously requested additional tickets and are currently on the waiting list will be contacted as soon as possible on the day of the ceremony regarding the availability of extra tickets. Availability will be based on stadium capacity and cannot be guaranteed.

Families should not arrive at the High School expecting extra tickets unless they have been contacted directly by the school.

Indoor Ceremony Plan

Should weather require us to move indoors, each graduate will receive four white tickets for admission to the gymnasium and two blue tickets for admission to the auditorium live-stream viewing area.

  • Four (4) White Tickets will permit entry to the High School Gymnasium to view the live graduation ceremony.
  • Two (2) Blue Tickets will permit entry to the High School Auditorium, where guests may view the ceremony via live stream in a climate-controlled setting.

In the event of an indoor ceremony, graduates will begin their procession in the auditorium, allowing guests seated there to view the graduating class before they proceed into the gymnasium for the commencement exercises.

No additional tickets will be available for an indoor ceremony.

Accessible Seating

Accessible seating areas will be available for guests with mobility needs at both the outdoor and indoor graduation ceremonies.

For an outdoor ceremony, a designated accessible seating section will be available within the stadium.

For an indoor ceremony, designated accessible seating will be available in both the gymnasium and auditorium.

Guests requiring accessible seating are encouraged to arrive early. If a family member requires special accommodations beyond accessible seating, please contact the Goshen High School Main Office prior to the ceremony so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

Event Guidelines

Strollers and Carriages

For safety and space considerations, strollers and carriages are not permitted in the seating areas. Designated stroller parking areas will be available near the stadium fence. A child secured in a car seat may be brought into the venue.

Pets

With the exception of service animals, pets are not permitted at the graduation ceremony.

Parking Passes

Parking passes are issued only to band and chorus members who will be permitted to park in the rear lot behind the high school. All other guests should utilize designated parking areas and follow the directions of event staff.

Umbrellas

Umbrellas are not permitted inside the stadium, gymnasium, or auditorium as they may obstruct the view of other guests.

Coolers and Portable Chairs

Coolers and portable chairs are not permitted. Seating will be available for all attendees.

Noise Makers

To preserve the dignity and significance of the ceremony, noise makers, air horns, whistles, and similar disruptive items are prohibited.

Parking Restrictions

Tobacco-Free Campus

Please remember that the Goshen Central School District is a tobacco-free campus. Smoking, vaping, and the use of smokeless tobacco products are prohibited on school grounds.
