GHS Teacher Honored as Human Rights Advocate

Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus named Lyn Abrams, a Health Teacher at Goshen High School, as one of the honorees for the 2026 Orange County Human Rights Awards.

  • Abrams has spent more than twenty years advocating for human rights in Orange County. As a Health Teacher, she uses her platform to create real, lasting change, rooted in the fierce belief that safety, equity, and dignity belong to every student, no matter who they are.
  • She was officially recognized alongside four other county leaders and organizations at the annual Human Rights Awards Reception on June 11, 2026, at the Stony Ford Golf Course in Montgomery.
  • Abrams has championed equitable treatment and inclusive learning environments for all students.

Congratulations, Lyn!
