  • School day: 7:40 AM – 2:28 PM
  • Students may be dropped off as early as 7:00 AM
  • Extra help and clubs: 2:30 PM – 3:00 PM
  • Late bus available at 3:10 PM

Period 1: 7:46–8:28

Period 2: 8:31–9:13

Period 3: 9:16–9:58

Period 4: 10:01–10:43

Period 5 (Lunch): 10:46–11:28

Period 7: 12:16–12:58

Period 8: 1:01–1:43

Period 9: 1:46–2:28

Class periods are 42 minutes long. Students have 3 minutes between classes.

  • Students stay with the same peer group for ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
  • Students mix with all sixth graders during specials.

  • Students are not grouped by ability level.
  • Counselors meet with 5th-grade teachers to assist with placements.

Students will typically have homework from multiple classes.

Homework impacts report card grades.

Google Classroom is frequently used for assignments.

Students are encouraged to use a homework planner or assignment notebook to stay organized.

Chromebook Expectation

Student Responsibilities

  • Each student receives a Chromebook and charger.
  • Devices must be charged nightly.
  • Lost chargers must be replaced.
  • Damaged devices require repair costs.
  • Chromebooks and chargers must be returned if a student leaves the district.

Approximate Repair Costs

  • Screen: $50
  • Keyboard: $10–$50
  • Lost devices are billed at replacement value.

Discipline

The school is committed to a safe and productive learning environment.

Students receive the district Code of Conduct.

Parent/guardian and student signatures are required.

Questions should be directed to school administrators.

Lockers

Lockers are available to all students.

School-issued locks are required.
Personal locks are not permitted.
Students should not share combinations.
Valuable items should be left at home.
