Notice: Building use during inclement weather on holiday, weekends


Interim Superintendent Thomas Bongiovi has issued the following memo:

The Goshen Central School District is happy to partner with both District and outside organizations regarding
building use for practices, games, and other events on weekends or when school is not in session. Please note
that, for safety and insurance purposes, if organizations use our buildings when school is not in session, we
require custodial coverage to be in place in the building. As always, permission to use our facilities on days
when school is not in session requires prior approval through the online facilities scheduling program.

Please be aware that if a plowable amount of snow, ice, or other emergency condition is forecasted over a
weekend, holiday, or when school is not in session, all buildings will be closed to both internal and external
groups so the District can clear the grounds or take necessary actions related to the weather event. The District
will aim to post facility closure notices on its website by 5:00 p.m. the day before a weather event.

Under no circumstances should anyone use facilities on a day when buildings have been officially declared
closed due to weather or another emergency event.
