CJH Leo Club, Student Government give back with community initiatives

The C. J. Hooker Middle School Student Government, in conjunction with the school’s Leo Club, recently led two meaningful community service initiatives to support those in need.

From November 5-21, the students hosted a food drive to benefit the Goshen Ecumenical Food Pantry. Thanks to the generosity of our school community, a large quantity of food was collected, helping to support many local families.

In addition, the groups sponsored the Adopt-A-Senior Program in partnership with the Orange County Office for the Aging. This initiative ran from November 24 through December 5. Through generous donations, students collected essential items such as toothpaste, dental floss, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and other necessities to benefit senior citizens in our community.
