C.J. Hooker Students of the Month – September 2025

C.J. Hooker has taken the time to recognize their Students of the Month. These students illustrate the following characteristics that the school community looks for:

The student of the month for each team is:
● Respectful – The student treats classmates, teachers and staff with respect by valuing each as an individual, respecting
differences, and valuing the work that others do.
● Responsible – The student embraces the responsibility required to maintain progress in their schoolwork and other
personal goals.
● Positive – The student contributes to the success of the school by promoting a positive school climate through their
actions and words.
● Honest – The student communicates truthfully and in a respectful way with classmates, teachers, staff and refrains from
dishonesty in completing academic work.
● Committed to success – The student strives for success in all they do and works to the best of their ability.

Grade 6

We are proud to recognize Scarlett Houlihan as our Student of the Month! Scarlett is a kind and caring classmate
who treats everyone with respect. She demonstrates responsibility each day by staying on top of her work, coming
prepared to class, and always giving her best effort. Scarlett is also an excellent role model for her peers—she leads
by example through her positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to help others. We are so proud of
Scarlett and are lucky to have her on our team!

Rowan Mohamed is a quiet leader in our classrooms who consistently sets a positive example for others.
Thoughtful and considerate, he treats classmates and teachers with kindness and respect every day. He approaches
every task with focus and determination, always giving his best effort. Congratulations, Rowan! We are lucky to
have such a hardworking and caring student on our team.

John Hand has been chosen as one of the September Students of the Month for his kindness and willingness to
help others. When a new classmate joined our school district, John went out of his way to make him feel welcome.
John’s helpfulness and positive attitude are wonderful examples of the type of student we are proud to recognize.
Congratulations for earning student of the month!

Eivin Santos Ramos is our choice for one of September’s Student of the Month awards. Eivin is respectful to his
teachers and peers. He actively participates in Science class and works cooperatively in groups. He is a model
student that exemplifies respect and kindness. For all these character attributes, we recommend him for student of the
month.

Special Areas:

Ryan Henry is a positive influence in our classroom and a wonderful example for his peers. He enthusiastically
participates in Spirit Week, bringing energy and school pride to each day. Overall, Ryan is an all-around great kid
whose kindness and enthusiasm make our school community stronger.

Grade 7

Landon DiNapoli – Landon is always prepared for class, with his supplies out and ready to work. He follows
directions independently, and willingly participates, which demonstrates a strong level of maturity and responsibility.
Landon is kind and respectful to both his peers and his teachers. Congratulations, Landon, on earning Student of the
Month!

Peyton Fleming – From the very first day of school, Peyton has shown herself to be a kind, funny, and respectful
classmate and student. She is polite and friendly, always quick with a hello, please, or thank you. Peyton is also quite
an accomplished student-athlete! We feel so lucky that she is with us this year. Congrats, Peyton; keep being the
amazing young woman that you are!

Shiloh Aybar– Shiloh is a respectful student who is always coming to school with a positive mindset. Shiloh
works very hard throughout the school day and always tries his best. Shiloh has a fun personality and he gets along
well with his peers and all his teachers. Shiloh is a star student!

Special Areas:

Litzy Fierros Calle has been skyrocketing in art. She has been an enthusiastic participant in class, dedicates time out
of class to honing in her techniques on her art, and provides insightful feedback and support to others in the class.
Litzy’s work continues to evolve and grow. It’s exciting to see the work she is producing and we look forward to seeing
what other unique ideas and perspectives she comes up with. All of these attributes (and more!) makes Litzy well
deserving of the student of the month award. Congrats Litzy!

Grade 8

Luke Hand is diligent, kind, and dedicated to academic success. He collaborates well with classmates, always
treats peers and teachers with respect, and arrives at class each day with a positive attitude. Luke actively participates
in discussions and shows enthusiasm for learning new things. Congratulations to Luke!

Iliyas Smirnov is an attentive, conscientious and diligent student. He is a smart, determined, curious, kind and
considerate young man. He relates well to adults and his peers, is a positive influence and looks out for the best
interests of others. He demonstrates personal responsibility, is a respectful advocate for himself and has a quiet
confidence. Iliyas is an excellent participant, curious, and self motivated. He is encouraging of others and a terrific
addition to all of his classes.

Special Areas:

Dalaney Sagendorph has been recognized for her outstanding dedication and positive impact in the classroom. She is
a hardworking student who continually puts forth her best effort to succeed and encourages others to do the same. As
a positive role model, Dalaney sets a strong example through her determination and kindness. She is always willing to
lend a helping hand to her classmates, making sure everyone has the chance to succeed alongside her.
