The Goshen Central School District will once again offer a Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program (UPK) for the 26-27 school year. Eligible students will be selected via lottery.

UPK students will attend Scotchtown Avenue Elementary School for a full-day program, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. (time subject to change). There is no cost to families. Parents are responsible for transportation.

To be eligible:

  • Your child must turn age four (4) on or before December 1st of the upcoming school year.
  • Families must be residents of the Goshen Central School District.
  • Your child can not be eligible for Kindergarten entry as of September of the upcoming school year.

If you would like to enter your child into the UPK lottery, you must complete a pre-registration form by 3 p.m. Friday, February 6. Paper versions are available at the Main Street Administration Building, 227 Main Street, in the front entrance vestibule. There will be a drop box for completed paper forms.

Once pre-registered, your child will be entered into the UPK lottery; date to be determined. Details to follow. All registrants will be notified of the lottery date via email and it will be posted on the district website.
