NYSSB Handbook

The New York State Seal of Biliteracy (NYSSB) recognizes high school students who have demonstrated a high level of proficiency in English and one or more additional languages. The Seal celebrates students’ language skills, encourages the continued study of languages, and highlights the value of multilingualism in college, careers, and our increasingly connected world.
