    October 21, 2019   “A” Day

    CODING CLUB:  Meeting today, period 10 in the Library.

    The annual Science Olympiad Chocolate Fundraiser is underway.  If you would like to place an order for chocolate covered Oreos, chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate peanut clusters or chocolate rocky road clusters (peanuts and marshmallows) please fill out an order form & attach your money and return to Mrs. Meyers in room A222.

    NHS is doing a 5K followed by a trunk or treat on 11/2.  Anyone interested in registering to participate in the 5K should see Mrs. Quinn or email her at  There is a $15 fee to participate in the 5K and we are accepting donations at the trunk or treat.  The 5K starts at 3 pm at the high school and registration will start at 2:30.  The Trunk or Treat starts at 4pm and goes until 6pm.  All proceeds go towards Hailey’s Hope, an organization that helps families with babies in the NICU.  We are looking for students interested in decorating their cars and handing out candy at the trunk or treat. There will be a prize for the best decorated car.  Please register at the following link:

    GUIDANCE:  Colleges visiting Guidance today:  None

    AP StudentsGoshen Central High School requires that every student take AP exams for courses they are enrolled in.  In order to register, students should click on the link provided on the school website or visit: to register.  Students requiring financial assistance should see Mr. McLoughlin, in the Guidance Office to learn more.  Registration is due by November 15th to avoid a late fee of $40.00. 

    HOBY- Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership program provides young people with unique leadership training to make a better world and a better society.  Any Goshen High School Sophomore who would like to be considered to represent our school at this year’s event Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Conference should see Mrs. Dubatowka in guidance for an  application.  Applications must be received back by Mrs. Dubatowka in Guidance by Thursday, October 31, 2019. 

    HEALTH OFFICE:  Physicals for Winter Sports and Working Papers will be held in the Health Office Monday, Oct 21st and  Thursday, Oct 31st.  Please stop into the Health Office and make an appointment.  

    LIBRARYQuiet Study Periods in the Library this week are periods 1, 4, & 7. If you are coming to the library during those periods please have something to work on quietly.

    MATH TEAM:  All students interested in participating in Math Team, you MUST turn in you permission forms to Mrs. Lawrence by Monday (Oct. 21st).  Reminder the first Math meet is NEXT WEEK on Wednesday, Oct. 23rd.  

    SeniorsThe next Disney payment of $250 is due October 29th. Please bring cash or check to Ms. Lobdell in Room C01. Checks made payable to “GHS Class of 2020”

    Please fill out your diploma name forms for graduation. You can get a form in the main office or from your class advisor,  Ms. Lobdell.  They need to be completed a.s.a.p. if you would like to receive a diploma at graduation.
