Business Office distributes budget forms and Fiscal 18/19 Budget.

Process memo to all Building Principals and Directors.

December 3, 2018

Initial meetings will be scheduled to review instructional and support services goals, staffing, new programs and major equipment purchases.

District requests for maintenance projects due to the Superintendent of Buildings & Grounds.

January 2, 2019

All budget forms are due back in the Business Office.

Meetings with Central Administration will be scheduled to discuss staffing, programs, supplies, textbooks and contractual expenses.

February 4, 2019

Budget presentations to the BOE will be made by Transportation, Buildings & Grounds, Technology, and Athletics.

February 19, 2019

Budget presentations to the BOE will be made by the Goshen High School, CJ Hooker Middle School, Goshen Intermediate School, and Scotchtown Elementary School, discussing new programs, staffing, major equipment purchases, etc.

March 1, 2019

Report Tax Levy limit to O.S.C.

March 4, 2019

Budget presentations to the BOE will be made by Pupil Personnel Services and Central Administration, Discussion of Personnel, Salaries and Fringe Benefits.

March 18, 2019

Board of Education petitions will be made available.

Budget Review – Overall Fiscal 18/19 Budget presentation and discussion.  Adoption of Bus Purchase Proposition.  Central Administration will present Projected Revenues and Estimated Tax Levy to the BOE.  Discussion of any additional propositions requiring legal notices.

BOE Meeting – Adoption of the Proposed 2019/2020 Budget by the Board of Education.

April 29, 2019

Tax Report Card is due to SED, Goshen Independent and the Times Herald-Record. The Budget Newsletter is due for mailing. Absentee ballots are available.

May 7, 2019

The proposed Fiscal 19/20 Budget is available for public review at the main office of each school building, Main St & the Public Library.

Public Hearing on the budget held at the Main Street Building Board Room at 7:00 p.m.

Last day of voter registration.

May 14, 2019

Last day for absentee ballots to be mailed.

May 15, 2019

Six day Budget Notice postcard must be mailed.

May 21, 2019

Budget vote and election of Board members.
