Universal Pre-K (UPK) lottery pre-registration due March 13

The Goshen Central School District will once again partner with On My Way UPK to offer 36 seats for the 2023-24 Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program (UPK). Eligible students will be selected via lottery.

UPK students will attend Scotchtown Avenue Elementary School for a full-day program, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. (time subject to change). There is no cost to families; the program will be fully funded by state funding. Parents are responsible for transportation.

On My Way offers before- and after-school care services for UPK families who need to drop off their child prior to the UPK start time and pick up after the UPK end time. This extended care is held at Scotchtown Avenue Elementary School, is contracted directly with On My Way and is the financial responsibility of the parent/guardian.

To be eligible:

  • Your child must turn age four (4) on or before December 1, 2023;
  • Families must be residents of the Goshen Central School District;
  • Your child can not be eligible for Kindergarten entry as of September 2023.

If you would like to enter your child into the UPK lottery, you must complete a pre-registration form by 3 p.m. March 13. Paper versions are available at the Main Street Administration Building, 227 Main Street, in the front entrance vestibule. There will be a drop box for completed paper forms.

Once pre-registered, your child will be entered into the UPK lottery that will take place at 1 p.m. March 17. If selected, parents/guardians will be notified and provided with an official enrollment packet; details to follow.
