Five Goshen High School music students will participate in the New York State Band Director’s Association (NYSBDA) Honors Bands the weekend of March 2. This is the highest number of Goshen students selected for this prestigious honor.

Ben Thurtle, Paul Choi, Tanner Conklin, Kiki Protopsaltis, and Aiden Meyers will perform with the Honors Concert Band, and Michael Lombardi will play lead trumpet for the Honors Jazz Band.

Students were selected from numerous applicants across New York state based on their solo New York State Schools Music Association (NYSSMA) audition from last May. The students will rehearse with their respective ensembles all day Friday and Saturday, and conclude the weekend with a concert on Sunday in East Syracuse.

Congratulations!
