The student of the month is:
- Respectful – The student treats classmates, teachers and staff with respect by valuing each as an individual, respecting differences, and valuing the work that others do.
- Responsible – The student embraces the responsibility required to maintain progress in their schoolwork and other personal goals.
- Positive – The student contributes to the success of the school by promoting a positive school climate through their actions and words.
- Honest – The student communicates truthfully and in a respectful way with classmates, teachers, staff and refrains from dishonesty in completing academic work.
- Committed to success – The student strives for success in all they do and works to the best of their ability.
Grade 6
Hailey Solano is new to the Goshen Central School District. She joined us mid September and has done a fabulous job transitioning to her new school and team. Hailey enters class each day with a greeting and a smile. That positive attitude continues throughout class as she demonstrates a willingness to learn and to participate. Hailey is kind to her peers and is very helpful. She didn’t hesitate to step up and offer support to another new student who joined the class the following month. Hailey is a pleasure to have in class and is a perfect candidate for student of the month.
Diego Luna Bazan is a wonderful young adult. He is a very hardworking and responsible student. Diego is always kind and helpful when dealing with his peers. His efforts and participation in class make him a great role model for other students. It is a pleasure to recognize Diego as student of the month!
Lily Rosenthal is an excellent choice for student of the month! Although she may appear to be quiet in class, she is deep in thought and ready to share her thoughts. Lily comes every day prepared and ready to learn! Lily is kind to everyone! Her smile makes our day! It is an absolute pleasure to have Lily in our classes.
Madison Escobar is a hard working, kind, and polite student. She comes into class everyday with a positive attitude. Madison has a strong work ethic and takes initiative in her classwork. She is attentive during class, contributes to class discussions, and is always present in class. Madison has continued to grow and develop in multiple areas throughout the beginning of this school year. Keep up the great work!
Special Areas: Jordan Seligman is a kind and respectful person who always maintains a positive attitude. She is extremely talented with a beautiful singing voice as well as being a fantastic flute player. Jordan always leads by example with enthusiasm and is a pleasure to have in class!
Grade 7
Luther Fortugno-Harris is a kind, responsible and respectful young man, whose conscientious efforts are noteworthy. Luther arrives to class on-time; he is organized, prepared and ready to work. He is easy going and fun to work with! It is all of these characteristics that will help him to succeed in any goal that he sets for himself. Great job this year Luther, and congratulations on being selected as one of October’s Student of the Month!
Jaxson Markiewicz exemplifies so many qualities fitting of a student of the month. Jaxson always puts forth his best effort. He is engaged during class and an active participant. Jaxson asks great questions, and is hard-working and responsible. In addition to being a great student, Jaxson is also a great person. He is inclusive and respectful to all. His positive demeanor and sweet presence make him a joy to be around. Congrats Jaxson!
Kolton Frey is a kind, friendly, and hardworking student. He is polite to his teachers and always gives his best effort in class. Kolton enjoys drawing and playing the trumpet. Keep up the good work, Kolton!
Special Areas: Zara Singh has done an excellent job on all of her tech projects and shows a real talent in this area. She is dedicated to her work and comes with a positive attitude each day. She is a great role model for other students in the class.
Grade 8
Rhyley Ruffy is an intelligent, determined, and dedicated student. He is a respectful, kind, empathetic and considerate young man. He is friendly, inclusive, joyful and witty. He demonstrates maturity and is always appropriate, both in and out of the classroom. He relates well to adults and his peers, is a positive influence and looks out for the best interests of others. Rhyley is an excellent participant, curious, and self motivated. He is a quiet leader and sets an admirable example.
Olivia Marku is diligent, respectful, and committed to academic success. Olivia comes to class with a positive attitude, a willingness to participate in class discussions, and a genuine enthusiasm for learning new things. The kindness and respect she shows others on a daily basis and the effort she puts forth in her classes is to be commended. Congratulations, Olivia.
Nicholas DiLapi is a hardworking student with a great sense of humor. He makes a great effort to be kind to everyone around him and comes to class prepared and excited to learn. Nick supports his classmates and assists them with their work. Nick is a great role model for his peers in class. Congratulations Nick!
Special Areas: Ava Distefano is a kind, respectful student. She puts in great effort and displays a positive attitude. She is a pleasure to have in class and is very deserving of this honor!
