Class of 2022 graduates Ysabela Paneto and Jason Orzell were honored at Senior Scholar Humanities Honoree Ceremony and Breakfast held Kuhl’s Highland House on Monday, June 6.
High school students from school districts in the Orange-Ulster BOCES region who have distinguished themselves in the arts and humanities were honored for their significant achievements in the fine arts, performing arts, and the humanities.
The keynote speaker was choreographer and professional dancer Konnor Kelly, a recent Cornwall High School graduate. Konnor has performed with the Rockettes at the world-famous Radio City Music Hall and is featured on So You Think You Can Dance on Fox Television. He advised the students to follow their hearts and dreams and express their talents.
The event was coordinated by the Orange-Ulster BOCES Division of Instructional Support.
Missing from photos: Jason Orzell was unable to attend the awards breakfast. He was volunteering with the Thunderbolts unified swim team at the Special Olympics National Games, where he is a NYS certified swim coach.
