The Junior Science Olympiad team, comprised of students in grades 6-9 won first place at the Regional competition and earned a spot at the New York State Science Olympiad tournament at East Syracuse-Minoa High School on April 8 & 9.
Team members medaled in the top three for each of the 18 events.
- Mia Garcia- 1st for Crave the Wave, Mousetrap Vehicle, Storm the Castle
- Henry Dong-1st in Dynamic Planet, Disease Detectives, Mission Possible and Bridges and 2nd for Rocks and Minerals.
- Chloe Mosquera- 1st- Crime Busters, Green Generation, 2nd for Ornithology, Write It Do It and Ping Pong Parachute
- Abhi Bagam- 1st place Anatomy and Storm the Castle
- Tanner Conklin- 1st place Crime Busters, Meteorology, Mission Possible and Road Scholar.
- Gemma Maxwell- 1st place Bio Process, and Mousetrap Vehicle
- Andrew Santilli- 1st- Green Generation, Disease Detectives.
- Tony Paulino- 2nd in Food Science, Ornithology and Ping Pong Parachute.
- Rhyley Ruffy- 1st in Anatomy, Dynamic Planet, and 2nd in Meteorology and Food Science
- Aaban Imran- 1st in Road Scholar.
- Kiran Foster- 1st in Bridges, Crave the Wave and Bio Process
- Alexa Krabbe- 2nd in Write It Do It and Rocks and Minerals
