GIS & CJH Odyssey teams headed to states; others place, win OMer awards

Goshen’s Odyssey of the Mind teams had an exceptional day at the Regional Competition held March 5 at Orange-Ulster BOCES.

Five of the district’s eight teams placed in the top three in their division, including the first place winners, Goshen Intermediate School’s team, “Odyssey ReOMvention,” who also won an OMer Award for exceptional spirit and creativity, and the C. J. Hooker Middle School team, “Classics: The Musical Production.” Both teams will head to the New York State Finals on March 26 at the Syracuse Fairgrounds.

In addition, Goshen High School teammate, Bridgette Bennis, received an OMer Award for showing the spirit of an OMer. Bridgette held up her team’s set for their entire performance after it malfunctioned and wouldn’t stand on its own.

Congratulations, OMers!
