CJH names Students of the Month for December 2021

The student of the month is:

  • Respectful – The student treats classmates, teachers and staff with respect by valuing each as an individual, respecting differences, and valuing the work that others do.
  • Responsible – The student embraces the responsibility required to maintain progress in their schoolwork and other personal goals.
  • Positive – The student contributes to the success of the school by promoting a positive school climate through their actions and words.
  • Honest – The student communicates truthfully and in a respectful way with classmates, teachers, staff and refrains from dishonesty in completing academic work.
  • Committed to success – The student strives for success in all they do and works to the best of their ability.

Grade 6

William Malkan is a friendly, outgoing and responsible student. Will is a strong student who exhibits enthusiasm, a great sense of humor and school spirit. He makes sure all of his assignments are in and actively participates in class discussions. In addition, Will is kind to his classmates. If he notices that someone is struggling he doesn’t hesitate to ask to step in and lend a helping hand. All of these traits make Will a great choice for student of the month!

Zulma Garcia is a wonderful young adult.  She is a mature and responsible student.  Zulma is always kind and helpful when dealing with her peers.  Her efforts in class make her a great role model for other students.  It is a pleasure to recognize Zulma as student of the month!

Max Bourque is a wonderful student.  He has been working very hard to improve his grades, and it shows.  Max is kind and friendly to everyone.  Max genuinely cares about his peers and his teachers.  Max is very helpful to others, and a great role model to his peers.    It is a pleasure to have Max in our classes, and to recognize his hard work and achievements!

Vincent Santoro gives every part of the school day his all. He is a super hard worker who always strives to do his best in all subjects. Vincent also loves to help his friends out with their work and loves to share jokes and stories with his classmates and teachers.

Special Areas:

Lucas Collishaw  is a very hard working trumpet player. He leads by example and always does the right thing. He even plays guitar in the Jazz Band!

Grade 7

Gabriel Miller has a quiet, but polite and respectful demeanor. He pays attention, follows directions carefully and shows patience in class.  He demonstrates solid responsibility and asks questions when he feels clarification would help.  Gabe has a curious nature and wants to be successful and the behaviors he exhibits will help him accomplish this goal. Congratulations, Gabe.  Keep up the good work!

Robert Gatto exemplifies what it means to be a wonderful person.  He is warm and considerate and always acts with integrity.  Robert holds himself to high standards and consistently puts forth his best effort academically.  His positivity creates a better atmosphere for all around him.  Robert treats all of his peers with genuine kindness and respect.  Robert truly makes our school a better place!  Congratulations on this well deserved recognition

Nicholas DiLapi – Nick is the definition of a pleasure to have in class. He comes in everyday with a happy greeting and a smile through his mask. He has an amazing sense of humor and loves making his classmates and teachers laugh.  He puts forth his best effort in all of his classes. He actively participates and is a wonderful addition to any class he is in. Many of Nick’s teachers wish they could have a classroom full of students just like him!

Special Areas:

Anna Mayo is an amazing student. She maintains incredible grades and is talented in so many ways. She is such a great role model for others around her and a great participant in class. She is very deserving of this honor!

Grade 8

Mehri Ghezel-Ayagh is a well-rounded and dedicated student.  She is diligent, has a genuine interest in the learning process and is always involved in class.  She is an excellent participant in class discussions, accepts opportunities that are challenging, and takes the opportunity to improve her grade and understanding.  Mehri is sincere, caring, considerate and has a great sense of humor!  All of these characteristics will allow Mehri to achieve anything to which she sets her heart and mind.

Briana Alfieri is a hard working and responsible student who comes to class with a positive attitude and a desire to do well.  She is an active participant in class discussions and is committed to academic success.  Briana is respectful and kind and she helped bring some holiday cheer to her teachers and classmates by inviting some elves to come hang out in our classrooms for the last couple of weeks before vacation.  Congratulations, Briana!

William Schlechtweg III – Will consistently makes good choices throughout his day; he shows respect for his peers and teachers, as well.  He is making steady progress and will reflect on and improve his assignments when he needs to.  Will’s good sense of humor, pleasant disposition and positive attitude are just a few of the characteristics that make him a great student!  Congratulations, Will!

Special Areas:

Helen Mathew is a wonderful musician and sets a great example for others to follow. She continues to have a willingness to always do her very best in all areas of music as well as in all of her classes. Helen is an absolute pleasure to teach.
