Siblings win school-level spelling bee, advance to regional competition

Siblings Angelina Celio, grade 8, and Giovanni Celio, grade 7, are their respective grade level winners of the C. J. Hooker Middle School’s school-level spelling bee.

The school-level bee was administered through the Scripps National Spelling Bee’s online testing platform. Both students achieved a perfect score.

Angelina and Giovanni will represent Goshen in the Orange-Ulster BOCES regional spelling bee on March 15, with an opportunity to move onto the 2022 National Scripps Spelling Bee that will take place the week of Memorial Day at Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.
