GHS students tests positive for COVID-19

District officials learned that four Goshen High School students recently tested positive for COVID-19.

One positive student was last in school during the week of April 19. All those who were at risk of exposure were contacted by district staff with instructions for self-quarantine. The remaining three students who tested positive were not in the building during the infectious periods and contact tracing was not necessary.

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

Remember that we can help stop the spread by following the guidance of the Orange County Department of Health, including washing your hands with soap and water, avoiding gatherings and group activities, and staying home when you are sick.

Join me in wishing a speedy recover to all of our unwell family members.

Sincerely,

Daniel T. Connor
Superintendent of Schools
