Three test positive for COVID-19

District officials were notified that three students tested positive for COVID-19.

A student from Scotchtown Avenue Elementary School and a student from Goshen Intermediate School tested positive; they were not in the buildings during their infectious periods and contact tracing is not needed. A second student at Goshen Intermediate School; the student was lat in the building on April 23. All those who may be at risk of exposure have been contacted by district staff.

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

Remember that we can help stop the spread by following the guidance of the Orange County Department of Health, including washing your hands with soap and water, avoiding gatherings and group activities, and staying home when you are sick.
