Three students test positive for COVID-19

District officials were notified that three students tested positive for COVID-19.

A student at Goshen High School tested positive; all those who may be at risk of exposure where contacted over the weekend with instructions about self-quarantine. A student at Scotchtown Avenue Elementary School and a student at Goshen Intermediate School tested positive; they were not in school during the infectious periods and there is no risk of exposure.

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

Remember that we can help stop the spread by following the guidance of the Orange County Department of Health, including washing your hands with soap and water, avoiding gatherings and group activities, and staying home when you are sick.

Join me in wishing a speedy recover to all of our unwell family members.

Sincerely,

Daniel T. Connor
