Three students test positive for COVID-19

District officials were notified that a student at Goshen Intermediate School, a student C. J. Hooker Middle School, and a student at Goshen High School tested positive for COVID-19.

Individuals who are a direct contact to the positive GHS student have been notified and given instruction about self-isolation. The GIS student hasn’t been in the building since March 26; therefore, there is no risk of exposure. The CJH student is fully remote; there is no risk of exposure.

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

Remember that we can help stop the spread by following the guidance of the Orange County Department of Health, including washing your hands with soap and water, avoiding gatherings and group activities, and staying home when you are sick.

Join me in wishing a speedy recover to all of our unwell family members.

Sincerely,

Daniel T. Connor
Superintendent of Schools
