Four test positive for COVID-19, no risk of exposure to others

District officials have learned of four positive cases of COVID-19 in our schools.

Two students from Goshen High School, one teacher from Goshen High School, and one teacher from Scotchtown Avenue Elementary School tested positive for COVID-19. None of these individuals were in the buildings during their infectious periods and do not pose a risk of exposure to others.

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

Remember that we can help stop the spread by following the guidance of the Orange County Department of Health, including washing your hands with soap and water, avoiding gatherings and group activities, and staying home when you are sick.

Join me in wishing a speedy recover to all of our unwell family members.

Sincerely,

Daniel T. Connor
Superintendent of Schools
