CJH student, staff member test positive for COVID-19

Today, the district was notified that a student and staff member at C. J. Hooker Middle School have tested positive for COVID-19.

All individuals who may have been considered at risk of exposure have been contacted by district staff and/or the Orange County Department of Health with instructions for self-quarantine.

Please note that The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

Please remember that we can help stop the spread by following the guidance of the Orange County Department of Health, including washing your hands with soap and water, avoiding gatherings and group activities, and staying home when you are sick.
