Jan. 15: Four individuals test positive for COVID-19

District officials learned that four individuals in our schools have tested positive for COVID-19.

A student from Goshen Intermediate School, a student from Goshen High School and a staff member at Goshen High School tested positive for COVID-19. The infected individuals were not in the buildings during the infectious periods and do not pose a risk of exposure to employees or students. A staff member at Goshen Intermediate School tested positive for COVID-19; all individuals who may have been considered at risk of exposure have been contacted by district staff and/or the Orange County Department of Health for instructions for self-quarantine.

Please note that The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

Please remember that we can help stop the spread by following the guidance of the Orange County Department of Health, including washing your hands with soap and water, avoiding gatherings and group activities, and staying home when you are sick.

Please join me in wishing a speedy recover to all of our unwell family members.
