Dec. 23: Two employees test positive for COVID-19

Today, district officials were notified that two faculty members tested positive for COVID-19. One works at C. J. Hooker Middle School, the other works in both the Goshen High School and C. J. Hooker Middle School.

Both of the employees were not in the buildings during their infectious periods, therefore there is no risk of exposure to other students/employees.

Please note that The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

Please remember that we can help stop the spread by following the guidance of the Orange County Department of Health, including washing your hands with soap and water, avoiding gatherings and group activities, and staying home when you are sick.

Please also be reminded that all positive cases reported to the district between Dec. 24 and Jan. 2 will be communicated in one SchoolMessenger email notification and posted on the district website on the evening of Saturday, January 2.

I hope you join me in wishing a quick recovery to our unwell Goshen family members.

Sincerely,

Daniel T. Connor
Superintendent of Schools
