Second grader Collin Barrett donated 42 puzzle sets to local children in need.

Collin Barrett, a second grader in Patricia Kuttler’s class at Scotchtown Avenue Elementary School, has helped brighten the holidays for local children in need.

Over the past several weeks, Collin organized (with the help of his mother, Julie Barrett), his first annual Christmas drive through Usborne Books’ Cards for a Cause fundraiser. Collin committed to selling 15 boxes of cards – and for every box sold, he’d receive a puzzle set to donate to a local child. He exceeded his goal and sold 42 boxes, allowing him to donate 42 puzzles!

Collin donated the puzzles to a local Girls Scout Troop’s holiday toy drive at the Goshen police station.
