This afternoon, the district was notified that a staff member at Goshen High School has tested positive for COVID-19. The infected staff member does not have close contact with students; therefore, officials at the Orange County Department of Health do not consider any risk of exposure to students.
Contact tracing for any staff members who may have been in close proximity to the individual has been completed.
Please note that The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.
As a reminder, there is no school for students Nov. 25-27 for Thanksgiving recess. All students will learn remotely the weeks of Nov. 30 and Dec. 7. Schools will reopen for in-person learning on Dec. 14.
