Nov. 16: GHS student tests positive, no risk to classmates, staff

On Monday, Nov. 16, district officials received news that a Goshen High School student has tested positive for COVID-19.

Based on the last day the student was in attendance, the Orange County Department of Health is confident that there is not threat of exposure to students or employees since the student was not on school grounds during the infectious period.

Please note that The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

If you have questions or concerns, please contact your building administrators or school nurse. Please stay well, continue to socially distance and wear a mask, and keep all of our unwell Goshen family members in your thoughts.

Sincerely,

Daniel Connor
Superintendent of Schools
