Graduation, year-end event updates by Interim Principal Thomas Heinzelman

Dear Seniors and Families,

As a result of the change in social gathering protocols by Governor Cuomo, several, area school districts have opted to host multiple ceremonies, not to exceed 150 people in attendance.

As a result of discussion with our graduation committee, it has been decided that Goshen will attempt to hold an all-inclusive, traditional graduation at the Historic Track on July 31, 2020.  Waiting until the end of July, as was previously announced, will give us the best chance at having a full-class graduation, as well as other end-of-year senior activities such as prom, class day, senior BBQ, yearbook signing, etc.

We are hopeful that the current social gathering restrictions will be modified or eliminated by the end of July, therefore enabling our seniors to participate in the aforementioned events.

In the event that the social gathering restrictions are not modified or eliminated by July 31, we will be prepared to offer multiple ceremonies or a virtual graduation should the need arise.

In advance, we thank you for your patience and understanding as we strive to provide our seniors with the best possible opportunity to share in a meaningful and memorable graduation.

Thomas Heinzelman
Interim Principal
