CJH students selected as Students of the Month for November

Several C. J. Hooker Middle School students were nominated by their teachers to be named Student of the Month for November. The student of the month is:

  • Respectful – The student treats classmates, teachers and staff with respect by valuing each as an individual, respecting differences, and valuing the work that others do.
  • Responsible – The student embraces the responsibility required to maintain progress in their schoolwork and other personal goals.
  • Positive – The student contributes to the success of the school by promoting a positive school climate through their actions and words.
  • Honest – The student communicates truthfully and in a respectful way with classmates, teachers, staff and refrains from dishonesty in completing academic work.
  • Committed to success – The student strives for success in all they do and works to the best of their ability.

Grade 6

Aiden Capozzi: Aiden has done a great job adjusting to CJH Middle School.  Aiden comes every day, with a positive attitude, ready to learn.  Aiden works hard in all of his subjects. One attribute that we recognize in Aiden is that he is kind and respectful to everyone! Thank you for being a great role model!   Congratulations, Aiden!

Elysia Oliveras is a wonderful young adult.  She is a mature and responsible student.  Elysia is always kind and helpful when dealing with her peers.  Her efforts in class make her a great role model for other students.  It is a pleasure to recognize Elysia as student of the month!

Mary Mott is a hard-working, dependable, and responsible young lady who obviously cares about doing well in school.  She is always prepared and always works up to her potential. Mary is respectful and kind towards others and helps students as well as teachers without being asked. She brings a smile and a positive attitude wherever she goes. Mary is a pleasure to have in class and a perfect candidate for student of the month.

Roger Bautista: We nominate Roger Bautista for November’s student of the month. Roger comes into school everyday with a smile and a positive attitude. He loves to show off his dance moves for his class and he is a master of telling jokes. Roger has been working hard in school and his effort has been very impressive. We’re proud of Roger and we know the rest of his school year will be just as great as the first few months.

Special Areas: Keegan Smith is an outstanding student. Not only does he show interest in his work but he sets a great example for others to follow. He is respectful, responsible, and has a great attitude. He conducts himself with self- control and great manners. Keegan is an excellent candidate for student of the month. Congratulations!

Grade 7

Cole Kendrick is an exceptionally kind young man.  He is a true “people person” and his genuine compassion is evident every day.  Cole constantly asks what he can do to help others or how someone’s day is going, and is a friend to everyone.  Cole is great student who is responsible and diligent, and he sets a great example for his peers. Congrats Cole on being selected as Student of the Month!  You are so deserving and make C.J. Hooker a better place.

Ella Gallo is a respectful, attentive and studious young lady.  Always ready to work, Ella strives to do her very best work.  She is focused, organized and goes the extra mile, not because she has to, but because she wants to.   She also possesses a strong sense of responsibility, which will help her continue to find success in her 7th grade year.   Undoubtedly, she is deserving of being selected as one of November’s Student of the Month. Congratulations Ella and keep up the great work!

Emely Mancilla-Hernandez is a kind and respectful student who stays after school daily in order to prepare for the next school day.  Emely tries her best to stay on top of her school work. She is always kind, friendly, and considerate of those around her. These qualities deserve recognition! Congratulations Emely on being selected as November’s Student of the Month.

Special Areas: Morgan Taylor is a determined artist. She puts a tremendous amount of effort into the work she creates. She had some mistakes along the way yet remained persistent and was willing to redo anything she felt she could do better on. This persistence inspired other classmates to push themselves as well. Her feedback/ participation in class was useful and her encouragement for her peers is admirable and inspiring.

Grade 8

Aidan Diglio is a smart, determined, kind and considerate young man.  He is mature beyond his years as he is always appropriate, both in and out of the classroom, and relates well to adults and his peers.  Aidan is a positive influence and looks out for the best interests of others. He is motivated to do his best and seeks help when needed. He is inquisitive, intuitive and an excellent class participant.  Aidan is a quiet leader and sets an admirable example.

Michael Hulse is a responsible, honest, and diligent student who always comes to class with a desire to learn. He is an active participant in class who always contributes valuable insight to class discussions.  He is courteous and kind and always willing to work with others. Congratulations to Michael!

Isis Graham is a hard-working and kind-hearted student. She always has a smile on her face and maintains a positive attitude about learning.  Isis always gives her best efforts in class and takes the initiative to get the job done.  Great job, Isis!

Special Areas: Grant Moore is extremely talented and sets a wonderful example for others to follow during Select Chorus. He is a responsible student who always comes to class with a positive and respectful manner. Grant demonstrates a willingness to learn and takes constructive criticism and applies it to better his overall performance.
