Help reduce waste by recycling candy wrappers through Trick or Trash

Goshen Intermediate School is taking part in Rubicon Global’s Trick or Trash campaign, which seeks to reduce waste caused by candy wrappers and snack packaging.

It has been projected that Americans will spend $2.6 billion dollars on Halloween candy this year, which is around 600 million pounds.

Please send in all your empty candy wrappers to be recycled through Terra Cycle and Rubicon Global’s campaign. Individual size snack bags and granola wrappers are also accepted. A collection box will be located inside the front doors of GIS.

Winners of this contest will receive a year’s supply of recycling boxes, which will further help to reduce waste.
