On October 24, Goshen Central School District Teacher Lisa Dombrowski was recognized as a “Rising Star” of Orange County at Anthony’s Pier 9 in New Windsor. Dombrowski teaches Family and Consumer Science at both the C. J. Hooker Middle School and Goshen High School.

Orange County’s Rising Star Awards are coordinated by the Junior League of Orange County. They recognize outstanding leaders from between the ages of 21-40 from the public, private, non-profit, and volunteer sectors.

Rising Stars are chosen based on values such as achievement, experience, innovation, vision and leadership. County-wide, Dombrowski was one of only 20 people recognized.

In addition to her teaching duties, Dombrowski serves as co-advisor to the Goshen High School Class of 2020 as well as the Goshen Leo Club.  The Leos have participated in countless volunteer activities and under her leadership the membership has consistently grown.

The Goshen Central School District is proud of Lisa for receiving this commendation and is grateful for her tireless commitment to her school and the greater Goshen community.
