The newly refurbished auditorium at Goshen High School will be named The Roy Reese Auditorium after former superintendent and high school principal Roy Reese.

The Goshen Central School District will host the Roy Reese Auditorium Unveiling and Ribbon Cutting at 6 p.m. Friday, November 1.

The program will be held in the high school auditorium with a reception immediately following in the cafeteria. The high school drama will perform its opening night following the ceremony at 7:30 p.m.

The Roy Reese Auditorium is named after former superintendent and high school principal Roy Reese, who spent decades sharing his passion for education as well as theater stage crew with hundreds of Goshen students. The Board of Education adopted a resolution to name the newly refurbished auditorium after Reese on June 17, 2019, after students began a petition –  which quickly gained hundreds of signatures – in his honor.
