View the superintendent’s statement about employee arrest

Earlier this week, an employee of the Goshen Central School District Transportation Department and his wife were arrested for the possession and unlawful growing of marijuana at their home. The Village of Goshen Police Department notified district officials of the arrest and the employee was immediately suspended.

According to the police department, the arrest was made after a two-month long investigation was initiated by an officer who had noticed a strong odor of marijuana during routine patrols.

“As educators, we are obviously shocked and troubled by this news,” said Superintendent Daniel Connor. “All district employees are held to the highest ethical standards. We believe that our students were not at any time in harm’s way, or that this investigation involves any addition district employees. District officials will continue to work closely with the Village of Goshen Police Department as they conduct their investigation.”
