On June 19, the Goshen Intermediate School Writers’ Workshop group visited Storm King Art Center in Mountainville to enhance their writing about art in nature. The theme of the day was “Hiding at Storm King.”
The students had studied the works of Andy Goldsworthy and were very excited to see his Storm King Wall installment. Students drew a sculpture of their choice using watercolor pencils, then added a self-portrait “hiding” somewhere on the sculpture. That was the springboard for original stories about why they were hiding at Storm King.
