Board to vote on resolution to name GHS auditorium after Roy Reese

On Monday, June 17, the members of the Goshen Central School District Board of Education will vote on a resolution to name the newly renovated auditorium at Goshen High School after Roy Reese. The vote will be held at 6 p.m. during the regularly scheduled Board meeting.

Roy Reese was principal of Goshen High School from August 1985 to October 1995. He served as interim superintendent for approximately 11 months before he was named superintendent on July 1, 2005. He held the position until his retirement from the district on June 30, 2009, and is currently superintendent of the Washingtonville Central School District.

Mr. Reese has been an avid part of the Goshen High School music department for more than three decades, having led the stage crew for its musical productions for the past 33 years.

A formal ribbon cutting event will be held at a later date.
